Updated Black Inventors minus the mistakes

Updated Black Inventors

It was pointed out to me by some of the nazis at vanguard news network that left messages on my last post that some of this information was wrong. I recieved this information in an email (that I really should have checked out first.} So I am here to set the record straight. I may have made some mistakes but the truth is still here. There are great black inventors. I am willing to fix my mistakes. This brings me to the sadness of the matter: the email list makes black men and women appear trivial by being so chock full of errors. Also I implore my readers not to visit any of the nazi sites as these people are probably taking track of all internet addresses of the people who visit them by logging all visits to their sites. They are evil and may try to hack people's computers. So anyway here is the information on black inventors straightened out.

The black man John Stanard (not Standard) did NOT invent the refrigerator as I had stated. BUT he did improve on refrigerator design being issued a patent for his improved designs. Here is a link to that information.

According to the famous internet library about.com John Stanard improved refrigerator design It says it was patented by African American inventor John Standard of Newark, New Jersey, on 7/14/1891 - U.S. patent #455,891 - See patent drawing below. John Standard was also granted U.S. patent #413,689 on 10/29/1889 for an oil stove. About still spelled his name wrong though. United States Patent Office Patent Search where you can search for his patent. You must have a viewer capable of viewing tiffs to see it.

Tell me, since we are dealing with numbers in the millions, what is the percentage that we should expect to attribute to black people for bonafide patents? Is it the 12%, reflective of their numbers in this country? If that were the case, 5 million total patents would reflect 600,000 patents from blacks. From that same 5 million, how many are attributable to white people?

I left a link debunking that email to snopes.com which shows what parts of the letter were wrong. Then I did add a list of inventors and patents that can't be debunked. This tactic is typical of Afrocentrists- find a black's patent related to a specific item, and use that patent to argue that the black with the patent actually invented the item in the first place. Many if not most of these blacks with patents were mullato - a mixture of black and white parents or grandparents. No! Steam-powered hoisting devices were used in England by 1800. Yes, it occurred, but not to the magnitude we've been led to believe. And certainly the six million figure is too high. Yet the Jewish lobbies promote and protect this version, even to the point that several European nations have granted statutory protection to the Official Authorized Version of the Holcaust. This is why the internationally-renowned historian David Irving rots in jail in Austria, not because he committed a real crime against persons or property. Here's some more myth-busting: Not all members of VNN are "nazis". I'd estimate half believe in National Socialism. but the other half simply believe in white nationalism. NS is simply more elitist than WN. Also, VNN as a matter of policy does not collect website addresses and targets "antis" for hacking. That's just sheer paranoia on your part. We've been victimized by hackers and DoS attacks ourselves; we darn sure are not going to invite retaliation upon us by doing it. Obviously, we can't guarantee some lone wolf won't try to take a shot. But we don't condone it. 	Black Invention Myths March 18, 2006 11:56 PM PST Perhaps you've heard the claims: Were it not for the genius and energy of African-American inventors, we might find ourselves in a world without traffic lights, peanut butter, blood banks, light bulb filaments, and a vast number of other things we now take for granted but could hardly imagine life without. Such beliefs usually originate in books or articles about black history. Since many of the authors have little interest in the history of technology outside of advertising black contributions to it, their stories tend to be fraught with misunderstandings, wishful thinking, or fanciful embellishments with no historical basis. The lack of historical perspective leads to extravagant overestimations of originality and importance: sometimes a slightly modified version of a pre-existing piece of technology is mistaken for the first invention of its type; sometimes a patent or innovation with little or no lasting value is portrayed as a major advance, even if there's no real evidence it was ever used. 	Nazi March 18, 2006 11:43 PM PST Stanard's patent describes not a refrigeration machine, but an old-fashioned icebox — an insulated cabinet into which ice is placed to cool the interior. As such, it was a "refrigerator" only in the old sense of the term, which included non-mechanical coolers.
